When we pulled up to skibowl resort on mt hood in government camp, OR, we knew that Luara & Scotty were facing the same thing we did on our wedding day – unpredictable mountain weather. The fog rolled in thick and while the temperature was upper 70’s the day before, our nipples told us it was closer to 50 this day.
Mount hood is a magical place and we reassured them that their elopement photos were going to be epic with this fog. They were truly in for a very unique and magical day.
We busted out the ponchos and rode the chairlift up to the elopement site on the mountain. After their very sweet and intimate first look, we rode the chair even higher to get those “edge of the earth” shots. Skibowl truly has some of the most epic views, fog covered or not.
After their elopement, with close friends and family present, they celebrated with charcuterie and drinks in the historic warming hut right on the slopes of Skibowl. This elopement was truly mystical and magical not only because of the beauty of the day, but because Laura & Scotty are some of the kindest, calm, and fun people we have ever had the pleasure of working with!They even bought Ben a new pair of pants when he decided to fall backward into a creek trying to get some actions shots (we still cry laughing about this).
